Abstract

The fabrication of micro and nano devices requires the use of several types of chemicals, both inert and hazardous.  This learning module provides the general safety rules for working in facilities and laboratories that use chemicals.  Through its activities, the learning module gives you are given the opportunity to demonstrate your understanding of these rules and your ability to apply them in a chemical use environment.

This learning module includes the following.

  • Reading Material: Chemical Lab Safety Rules
  • Presentation:  Chemical Lab Safety Rules
  • Activity:  Chemical Lab Safety Rules
  • Final Assessment
  • Observation Checklist

The instructor materials for this learning module are available here.
