Abstract

In this lecture overview is provided of how experimental data should be reported with true uncertainties. Most experimental data at some point require a model to convert measured electrical signals to a physical quantity, and uncertainties need to be propagated through different steps of data acquisition, data processing and model inversion to reveal true uncertainty associated with measurements. Examples from experiments on gas damping measurements in RF switches and for estimation of nanoparticles using AFM are discussed as case studies.
