The Transport: Modeling, Numerics & Theory Laboratory (TMNT-Lab) is led by Prof. Ivan C. Christov in the School of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University. This research team strives to combine advanced mathematical concepts and experimental results with mechanistic insight about the multiphysics modeling of flowing materials in order to make progress on fundamental research questions. Specifically, an overarching theme of the TMNT-Lab's research is transport (e.g., as a means of effecting mixing or for mitigating separation).
Recent work connected to nanoHUB involves analyzing microscale fluid--structure interactions between viscous flows and soft materials with applications to MEMS.
