We invite you to the International School "Son et Lumière 2017", taking place in Les Houches, France from 17 to 28th April 2017.
The “Son et Lumière” school, which has taken place every two years since 2006, aims at gathering different scientific communities working on acoustics, optics, quantum optomechanics, thermal transport in condensed matter and nanomaterials.
Son et Lumière School will give the opportunity to PhD students, young researchers, early-career scientists and engineers to participate in a series of lectures on the emerging fields which combine light and sound at the nanoscale. During the school, top class Experts from Universities, Research Institutions and Industry worldwide will share their knowledge and experience, among them H.J. Maris, B. Perrin, D.G. Cahill, B. Li, G. Fytas, C.K. Sun, E. Weig, M. Clark, B. Audoin. During the school, general and easy to access lecture will be combined to more specific talks dedicated to the most recent applications in the field.
