relation between the si thickness and current

i have a question about role of the si thickness in computing of the current. in ultra,thin body mosfet, what relation is there between the si thickness and current?

    Hi Thickness has an important implication in UTB MOSFETS.

    Quantum confinement in UTB leads to higher threshold voltage which leads to smaller ON current. Also you can think reducing thickness reduces SCE leading to improved Subthreshold Slope & DIBL and reduced OFF current.
