Under the tab “Layers”, after you select the number of layer, scroll down to the bottom, there are tabs named “Semi-Infinite Top Layer”, “Layer 1”, “Layer 2”… “Semi-Infinite Bottom Layer”. You can find “Thickness of the layer” under each tab, except the top and bottom layer. The top layer is usually the environment, so it is semi-infinite thick and the material for it is usually vacuum; and the bottom layer can also be the environment, or very thick substrate, which is semi-infinite thick.
