nanowire simulation quantum dot lab
Dear Sir, Is it possible to simulate optical properties of a quantum wire in quantum dot lab? We made GaAs quantum wires of 15nm radius, but in “quantum dot lab”, we can modify a sphere in to a cylinder by keeping the longest (and unconfined) dimension of the wire to the allowed longest possible length whch is 40nm. However 40 nm is still a nanoscale dimension, probably 400 nm might be better .Is there a way to increase this limit ? Thank you very much.

Hi, Extending a quantum dot simulation to that size is a bit beyond the scope of the tool. The calculation would require considerably more resources (CPUs, time) than what was originally planned (hence the builtin limits). At this time, we don’t plan to extend the limits of the tool.
