Abstract

From ''Tutorial on Neural Systems Modeling'', Chapter 7, pg. 242: In this section we will extend the avoidance learning simulation by adding a schema CALL that can increase the proportion of exploration relative to exploitation. The extended model is depicted [!in the simulation tool]. Since we are interested here in simulating avoidance conditioning, we will leave out the details concerning how a schema such as CALL could actually implement increased exploration in a neural system. Instead, we will simply use the response of CALL to augment the probability of exploration.
