Abstract

There are 103 Historically Black College and Universities (HBCUs) in the United Stated. HBCU’s have existed for over 200 years and deliver over 27% of the STEM graduates while educating only 10% of the African Americans in higher education in the US (https://www.congress.gov/116/crec/2019/12/03/CREC-2019-12-03-pt1-PgH9212.pdf). This is an exciting opportunity to leverage the expertise, innovation, entrepreneurialism and manpower/woman power of this critical American heritage to be part of the solution for semi-conductor re-birth in the US. Other countries are positioned to far exceed the US in moving to the next level. How does the US win in this race? Use all the best talent available.
