Rodney Ruoff Professor Ruoff is the director of the Center for Multidimensional Carbon Materials, established in November 2013. Director Ruoff received his B.S. from the University of Texas in 1981 after which he enrolled in the University of Illinois where, in 1988, he gained his Ph.D. After a brief spell in the Max Planck Institute in Germany, director Ruoff returned to America where he held a number of positions before being announced as a director at IBS in late-2013.
