MNT-EC will be offering photonics professional development opportunities in the summer of 2021 (Dates TBD). There will be an introductory Fundamentals of Photonics workshop that includes the theory of light and lasers along with practical hands-on laboratory activities. There will also be a Laser Material Processing Workshop that includes laboratory activities in laser etching, laser cutting, laser forming, and laser welding as well as tours of companies that utilize lasers in their manufacturing processes.
