BiographyMy encounter with Li-ion batteries happened during my Masters and I almost fall for it. I'm currently working as a battery modeling engineer at Nunam.
A battery modeling engineer is quite a satisfying job as it tests your fundamentals Vis-a-vie electrical / mathematical / chemical and helps you be at your toes to learn, grasp and acquire much knowledge on Li-ion to understand its behavior (Parametric) and provide a predictive / prognostic (SoC / SoH / EOL) idea based on gathered information
I did my Masters Student from NIT, Goa. I've my specialization in power electronics and power systems. I've worked on Li-ion battery charging as my M-Tech project. Here I've made use of DSP, Arduino, MATLAB and PSIM platforms to perform the experimental study. I've hand on experience in Li-ion battery charging using conventional charging scheme and a Taguchi based modified charging scheme.
I've obtained almost 50% reduction in charging time using modified charging scheme over conventional charging scheme. I've hardware hand on experience in buck converter, gate driver circuit, dsp based closed loop buck converter functioning, data acquisition using arduino, battery different charging schemes, battery parameter estimation, different estimation theories for SoC (State of charge estimation)
