Description

A nanotransistor is a transistor whose dimensions are measured in nanometers. Transistors are used for switching and amplifying electronic signals. When combined in the millions and billions, they can be used to create sophisticated programmable information processors.

  1. What's the mobility?

    Downloads | 08 Sep 2021 | Contributor(s):: Eric Pop

    This is a very simple Excel spreadsheet which can be used for quick-and-dirty effective mobility estimates from published current vs. voltage (I-V) transistor data in the linear regime. The user simply needs to read the drain current, threshold voltage, gate-to-source and drain-to-source...

  2. Recursive algorithm for NEGF in Python GPU version

    Downloads | 02 Feb 2021 | Contributor(s):: Ning Yang, Tong Wu, Jing Guo

    This folder contains two Python functions for GPU-accelerated simulation, which implements the recursive algorithm in the non-equilibrium Green’s function (NEGF) formalism. Compared to the matlab implementation [1], the GPU version allows massive parallel running over many cores on GPU...

  3. Variation-Aware Nanosystem Design Kit (NDK)

    Downloads | 30 Jul 2015 | Contributor(s):: Gage Hills

    Carbon nanotube field-effect transistors (CNFETs) are promising candidates for building energy-efficient digital systems at highly scaled technology nodes. However, carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are inherently subject to variations that reduce circuit yield, increase susceptibility to noise, and...

  4. MOSCNT: code for carbon nanotube transistor simulation

    Downloads | 14 Nov 2006 | Contributor(s):: Siyu Koswatta, Jing Guo, Dmitri Nikonov

    Ballistic transport in carbon nanotube metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors (CNT-MOSFETs) is simulated using the Non-equilibrium Green’s function formalism. A cylindrical transistor geometry with wrapped-around gate and doped source/drain regions are assumed. It should be noted that...

    This zip-archive contains two Matlab functions for the recursive solution of the partial matrix inversion and partial 3-matrix multiplication used in the non-equilibrium Green’s function (NEGF) method.recuresealg3d.m- works for 3-diagonal matricesrecuresealgblock3d.m- works for 3-block-diagonal...

  6. A MATLAB code for Hartree Fock calculation of H-H ground state bondlength and energy using STO-4G

    Downloads | 08 Aug 2006 | Contributor(s):: Amritanshu Palaria

    Hartree Fock (HF) theory is one of the basic theories underlying the current understanding of the electronic structure of materials. It is a simple non-relativistic treatment of many electron system that accounts for the antisymmetric (fermion) nature of electronic wavefunction but does not...

  7. FETToy 2.0 Source Code Download

    Downloads | 09 Mar 2005

    FETToy 2.0 is a set of Matlab scripts that calculate the ballistic I-V characteristics for a conventional MOSFETs, Nanowire MOSFETs and Carbon NanoTube MOSFETs. For conventional MOSFETs, FETToy assumes either a single or double gate geometry and for a nanowire and nanotube MOSFETs it assumes a...

    NanoMOS is a 2-D simulator for thin body (less than 5 nm), fully depleted, double-gated n-MOSFETs. A choice of five transport models is available (drift-diffusion, classical ballistic, energy transport, quantum ballistic, and quantum diffusive). The transport models treat quantum effects in the...
