5th New England International Nanomanufacturing Workshop
Description: The goal of the workshop is to address moving from the laboratory to industry-floor manufacturing. In addition, the workshop will address current developments and successes in transitioning research into commercial products and serve as a forum for industry, academia, and small business to interact and collaborate. Experts from academia, industry, and small business will address many important issues and provide insight and recommendation toward overcoming the barriers to Nanomanufacturing. The workshop will address the following:

-Technical barriers to scale-up -Technical barriers to integrating nano-elements with micro- and macro-structures -Current successes for scale-up of fast directed assembly -Societal impact (economics, environmental, ethical, regulatory, etc.) of nanomanufacturing

A poster session and networking reception is also planned. Students are especially encouraged to participate in and attend the workshop. Workshop sponsors will participate in the table-top exhibit.
When: From Tuesday, June 19 2007 - 8:00am
