Introducing Chipshub.org

The future of chip design and manufacturing is here! We are proud to introduce Chipshub by nanoHUB.

Chipshub is an online platform for semiconductor simulations, software, collaboration and workforce development.

Begin exploring at Chipshub.org. You'll find tools that transform ideas into chips, easy-to-use apps, and free courses and textbooks.

nanoHUB will continue to provide the excellent material and user experience relied upon by our existing community while also expanding our footprint with Chipshub. The current urgent need to support education and workforce development related to the semiconductor industry and chip design fits well with the mission and structure of the nanoHUB platform.

Creating a Collaborative Approach to CHIPS Act Objectives and Innovation

Purdue University and imec partnered to unveil Chipshub at the event, "Creating a Collaborative Approach to CHIPS Act Objectives and Innovation” on November 3, 2023, in Washington, D.C.

Leaders from academia, industry, and government gathered to explore enhancing US competitiveness in the semiconductor sector through a broad and coordinated national capabilities network. The workshop assessed the current state of the art and requirements for a national infrastructure with cross-cutting capabilities to help realize the transformative objectives of the CHIPS Act.

Look for an upcoming report that will summarize the key takeaways from the event.

Gateway Focus Week

Looking to build a sustainability plan for your science gateway? Planning to write your next funding proposal? Join SGX3 and SGCI at the next Focus Week to create your starter sustainability toolkit.

Gateway Focus Week is an intensive week-long workshop designed for innovative research teams to work together on producing a strong sustainability plan. You’ll leave Focus Week with a clearer definition of your project's value, its audience, and its positioning in the competitive landscape along with tools you can use as your project continues to mature.

Focus Week 2024 takes place April 15-19, 2024 at the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) in Austin, TX.

Apply via the Focus Week Workshop Application. The Focus Week application will close on March 15, 2024.

Thanks to the generous support of NSF, there are no workshop registration fees. Attendees will only need to cover their travel, lodging, and meal costs.

Gateway Development Internships

SGX3 and SGCI offer internships for students interested in developing their gateway development skills. The internships are intended to provide hands-on experience and to provide a unique opportunity for student engagement with the community.

New on nanoHUB

PN Junction App (Web Interactive Front End)

The PN Junction App (Web Interactive Front End) is a fully interactive app that enables the visualization and exploration of P-N junctions. New simulations can be launched to explore different doping concentrations and temperatures. Different materials such as Si, Ge, GaAs, and InP are available for exploration.

This new PN Junction Lab is powered by the PN-Junction Lab sim2l and provides an interactive user experience. The industrial strength PADRE tool developed at Bell Labs ultimately powers the simulations.
